Aztec Idols

Humor works here as a differentiator in a category crowded with interchangeable Hold & Win releases. By giving the Coin mechanic a clear narrative wrapper, a besieged gnome plus flames and flying objects, Play’n GO gives operators a title with an on-screen hook that needs little explanation.

The commercial argument is straightforward. The commercial hook sells itself on screen: Frank, the gnome gang over the fence, and a suburban garden turned battlefield.

Taken together, the release signals a provider comfortable iterating on both a familiar mechanical family and a familiar creative template. The single-Coin structure keeps a multi-feature game legible; GO Ultra supplies the higher-variance ceiling that engaged players look for; and Frank extends a character-first approach that Play’n GO has increasingly used to distinguish its output from the wider Hold & Win field.

The bill prohibits signs, banners, or display panels in arenas, gymnasiums, stadiums and other sports event venues. It also bans advertising on public transport, such as the side panel, exterior or the rear window of buses. The bill imposes a fine of BRL50,000 ($10,000) and a ban on hosting events for up to two years.

The proposal does not explicitly prohibit the display of betting brands on team jerseys, but some city councillors want to include this in the bill.

Clubs fear the measure will jeopardise revenue from betting company sponsorships. Corinthians (Esportes da Sorte), Palmeiras (Sportingbet), and São Paulo (Superbet) alone hold contracts worth BRL350 million annually with betting firms.

Last week a committee made up of MPs from across the Netherlands’ political spectrum also raised concerns around the role of Meta and Google in supporting the black market.

Candidates from the VVD party urged the government to take a “harder stance” against these big tech platforms.
